IMPAACT 2014

The IMPAACT Conference stands for the Identify the Missing Power of Asian Americans in Connecticut Conference. The conference aims to address the issues affecting the Asian and Asian American community – mental health awareness, cultural awareness, leadership development, and exploring topics of social justice. The conference is an opportunity for undergraduate student leaders to network with one another at the University of Connecticut to foster collaboration and solidarity.
PAC is an umbrella organization for all of the student organizations within the Asian American Cultural Center. PAC provides a unique opportunity for all of the different and diverse Asian American cultural groups to come together under one roof to promote diversity and tolerance, create a sense of community on campus and discuss ways that each leader can further their leadership skills.
We hope that the attendees will walk out of this conference more enlightened, empowered and have built bonds with mentors and other student leaders. We are fortunate enough to have engaging speakers and workshops available for all of the participants to benefit from. We hope that everyone who attends or presents at this conference will walk away with new insights and renewed energy to make an impact in our community.
